What I Like About & Don’t Like About It….

There’s not much not to like about the VIZIO XVT553SV, but I always try to give unbiased opinion based on my research, trying to save you the hassle!! 1st, let’s start off with:

THE PROS

The Price- For a 55inch model The VIZIO XVT553SV has great “bang for the buck!” The nearest competitors, SONY & PANASONIC are about $300-$400 more than the VIZIO and in my opinion the VIZIO XVT553SV is a superior model for the price difference as well as the quality for the price.

 

VIZIO Internet Apps (VIA) - This is a preloaded feature

that comes with Amazon Instant Video, Flickr, Netflix, Rhapsody, Twitter, VUDU and Yahoo TV Widgets. Easily brought up on screen with a single touch from the blu tooth remote control.

• Blu Tooth Technology- Get on the internet via your wireless network
• Direct Access to Netflix, The Weather Channel & Interactive NBC Channels

 

Qwerty Keyboard & Blue Tooth Remote Control- They took cell phone “texting” technology and integrated into the remote control. It makes it easy to search out your favorite TV shows and get on such apps as FaceBook & Amazon

Built-In WiFi- No need to to run wires which I like a lot! Just like your WiFi computer just connect it to your exisiting network and you’re off

 

THE CONS

Customer Service- I have seen some complaints regarding their customer service if and when there was a problem. Customer service can be a problem with most bigger companies, so this doesn’t phase me that much. I do recommend checking into an extended warranty to cover anything beyond the 30 day normal return policy.

Picture Settings- In comparison to other high end TVs there are a few less picture settings, but not a deal killer for me. The average person, like myself, leaves the initial “out of the box” presets anyway.
